Each insurance policy is different. Some policies require a referral while others do not. If you do not know if your insurance requires a referral, please call your insurance carrier to inquire prior to setting up an appointment. Referrals should be obtained from your primary care provider or specialist if weight loss is being recommended. We do not have the ability to know if your policy requires a referral, so it is best to reach out to your insurance company to avoid denial of payment for services.
